The 2015 Toyota 4Runner Trail is in rare company- With FJ Cruiser production coming to an end, it’s one of the only modestly sized body-on-frame SUVs out there. I can’t think of many other than the Jeep Wrangler. Make no mistake- this is a truck. With crossovers becoming so much more mainstream and capable off road trucks disappearing, how does the 4runner fare in everyday driving? Is it still relevant? I think so.
I’ve always been a fan of the Infiniti G series, so it wasn’t a shock that I was excited to see a 2015 Infiniti Q60S in my driveway one Friday. With a manual transmission, naturally. While Infiniti’s new naming conventions confuse me, did the name change dilute what already was a good sports car? Hardly.
Infiniti recently changed it’s naming standards and the venerable G-series sedans are now known as the Q50. This particular model is a 2014 Q50S sports variant, which is powered by the newest generation of Nissan’s 3.7 liter VQ engine coupled to a 7 speed automatic transmission. With a new name, does the Q50S continue it’s performance heritage, or does the new name signal the end of the G-series sedan as we know it?
Long story short: This is the best Cadillac I’ve ever driven. The 2014 Cadillac CTS V-Sport takes a very good sport sedan and gives it a twin turbo pick-me-up along with subtle performance upgrades to make it one of the best sport sedan values on the market. So how is the rest of the package?
