Namaste, Nismo: The 2014 370Z Nismo Review

The alternate title of this article may as well be Zen and the art of driving.  Nissan had a singular purpose for the 370Z, and focused it even more for the 2014 Nissan 370Z Nismo:  Driving precision and enjoyment.  The underlying basis of the car is performance.  It definitely needs to be experienced on both the street and the track to understand it true nature.

Who needs a 76 horsepower scooter? I’d rock one….

A big shout out to Aprilia, whose SRV850 will definitely claim the title of worlds fastest scooter.  839.3cc and 75 horsepower of fury.  In a scooter.  With CVT.

So a litte info here: I love scooters.  Why?  Twist and go!  It’s just so easy and simple to zip around on, and it’s just plain fun.  Just you and the road, nothing in between.  They’re (generally) inexpensive, easy to service and fairly simple.

Well, not all of them.  This Aprilia won’t be cheap, but should still be very good fun.  Why seventy six horsepower in a scooter?  Why not?  It has optional traction control and ABS, which might be necessary at around 549lbs dry weight.  I’m not going to lie, this thing is seriously cool.  While I prefer a smaller scoot like my little gy6 china bike with a swap like a Suzuki Burgman 650 motor, I can totally see the appeal of this as a silly ridiculous scoot.  It might be a little big, but there’s no denying the fun factor in something like this.  Why not a motorcycle?  I guess that’s a question you’ll have to ask yourself.  I prefer laziness and ease of use, and a more relaxed feel that the scooters give.  It’s also a bit tougher (though maybe not on this speed demon) to hit triple digits, making things a bit more sane.  For now, I’ll stick to my ~70mph high compression gy6.  More on that beast soon.  Enjoy!!!!
