I’m Joshua Stone and this is my site about anything on wheels. I’m lucky enough to be an automotive journalist and love doing what I do. I guess it all started at the tender age of 2, maybe before. My father gave me a radio control Ferrari 308 GTS, the kind with working headlights, tail lights, and turn signals. I proceeded to crash and break it multiple times, but always begged my parents to fix it and played with it more. Many Matchbox cars, Tonka toys, and real cars later, here I am.
What I think differentiates me from most car people is that I really don’t stick to a particular brand- I’ve had and worked on everything from Ford Mustangs to BMW M3s, and everything in between. My early days of wrenching were mostly on my previous e36, my friend AJ’s Integra Type R, and anything else anyone would let me work on. I loved test driving, working on, and just experiencing new cars. I’ve tested everything from a base Toyota Yaris, to a Mercedes SLS roadster, and everything in between. I try to use my extensive experience to help others make better decisions about what cars to buy, and educate them on things I see from my standpoint. For me, it’s all about how a car drives, and it’s the one thing you can’t get from looking at pictures or video of the outside, so I’ll try to communicate that as best I can.
I find it amazing that a blend of fabric, metal, and plastic can create emotion, forge friendships, and change lives. That is why I do what I do. The love of cars. I’m passionate, to a fault sometimes, and love everything about cars. Whether modifying, driving, or wrenching, I’ll do my best to keep you informed and entertained. Enjoy!
